The following information was issued to us and may be of some help to all of our current players, or incoming players. Everyone should apply for this, regardless of whether you think you will be accepted or not!
The 2014-2015 Financial Aid application and renewal period has begun!
CSUSB encourages all prospective and current students to apply for financial aid. The 2014-2015 Free Application or renewal application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) is currently available for students and their parent, (if applicable) to complete online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
The priotity FAFSA filing date is March 2, 2014. Campus-based financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The on-line FAFSA requires tht students and parents (if applicable) sign their FAFSA applications electronically using their federal PIN. Students and a parent can request a federal PIN at http://www.pin.ed.gov/ Students renewing their FAFSA application may also request a duplicate PIN if needed.
CSUSB offers a number on on campus scholarships and scholarship workshops to prospective and current students. The 2014-2015 CSUSB Scholarship application is now available for students to apply for campus-based scholarships by visiting the Financial Aid Office website at http//finaid.csusb.edu and clicking on "Apply for CSUSB Scholarship" link or through their MyCoyote student portal. Additional scholarship resources and off campus scholarship information may be found on the Financial Aid Office website by clicking on "Types of Aid", then the "Off Campus Scholarships" link.
The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) also offers Cal Grants to California residents who meet certain income, assets and GPA criteria. For more information regarding Cal Grants, visit the CSAC website at http://www.calgrants.org/
